This policy covers Scroll Protector, an iPhone app by GOLARIX LLC doo. It explains how we gather, use, pass on and protect your information when you use the app. By using it, you’re OK with your information being handled the way this policy describes.
What the app needs, and why
Scroll Protector helps you rein in screen time by locking the apps you pick until you do something active, like a set of exercises. To make that work, it handles a small amount of data about your device and what you do.
- It never opens, reads or saves anything inside your other apps.
- It only deals with how they’re used and whether they’re locked: time spent, and the moments they lock or unlock.
Collected automatically
We may collect:
- your device model, plus its operating system and version;
- your IP address and rough location;
- how long and how often you use apps;
- when apps get locked and unlocked;
- crash reports and diagnostics.
Screen Time and app usage
To run the app limits, we may handle which apps you’ve chosen to limit (kept on your iPhone wherever we can), how much time you spend in them, and the moments access gets restricted.
Workout data
To check that you finished an exercise, we may handle your rep count, whether you completed it, and motion readings from the accelerometer and gyroscope. We use them for one thing: deciding whether to unlock your apps.
Camera
When an exercise uses the camera to see your movement, the video is processed live and is never kept or recorded. That processing may happen on your phone or through secure services.
Details you choose to give
You may decide to give us a little personal information, such as your email address or identifiers tied to an account. The core features work without knowing who you are.
Analytics and device IDs
We may collect device identifiers, plus your advertising identifier if you’ve allowed it, for analytics and to make the app perform better.
Legal grounds under the GDPR
If you’re in the EEA, we rely on:
- your consent;
- carrying out our contract with you;
- our legitimate interests, such as security and improving the app;
- obligations the law puts on us.
How we use it
- To run and maintain the app.
- To power the locking and unlocking.
- To confirm you finished an exercise.
- To make the features and the experience better.

Who we share it with
Information may go to companies that provide analytics, cloud services and crash reporting, and every one of them has to keep your data protected. Selling your personal data isn’t something we do.
How long we keep it
We keep data only as long as we need it to run the service and meet our legal obligations. Data with personal details stripped out may be kept longer.
Your rights under the GDPR
You can ask to see your data, correct anything inaccurate, have it deleted, restrict or object to processing, take your data with you, and withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, email apps@golarix.info.
Kids
Scroll Protector isn’t meant for anyone under 16, and we never knowingly gather children’s personal data.
Keeping it safe
Your data is guarded with suitable organizational and technical safeguards, but nothing can be made perfectly secure.
Data across borders
Processing can happen in countries other than yours. Where that calls for safeguards, we make sure they’re in place.
When this policy changes
This policy may get revised. Sticking with the app after a revision means you’re okay with it.
