What this covers
This disclaimer is for PulseSense: Heart Tracker and Scroll Protector - App Blocker, plus any health or fitness info you find on this site.
A wellness tool, not a medical device
Our apps aren’t medical devices. No medical regulator has reviewed, cleared or approved them. They’re not meant to diagnose, treat or cure any illness, to keep watch over one, or to stop one from happening.
Nothing in the apps or on this site is medical advice. Talk to a doctor or another qualified health pro about your health, and never skip or put off getting medical advice because of something an app showed you.
About pulse readings from the camera
PulseSense works out your pulse from tiny color changes the camera spots in your fingertip. It’s an estimate, and it can be off. Moving around, pressing too hard on the lens, cold hands, poor light and the state of your camera can all throw it off.
Please don’t use PulseSense to check for an irregular heartbeat or any other condition, and don’t change medication or treatment based on what it shows.
Blood sugar and blood pressure
PulseSense doesn’t measure blood sugar or blood pressure at all. You type those numbers in from your own meter, and the app just keeps them and charts them. They’re only as accurate as your meter and your typing.
Workouts in Scroll Protector
Scroll Protector has you do quick moves like push-ups, squats, ab work and planks. Go at a pace that feels OK, clear some space around you, and stop right away if you feel pain, get dizzy or can’t catch your breath. Pregnant, recovering from an injury, or living with a heart, joint or other condition? Check with your doctor first. Exercising with the app is at your own risk.
If it’s an emergency
Think you might be having a medical emergency? Call your local emergency number now: 112 in Serbia and most of Europe, 911 in the US. Don’t wait on an app.
